JOB SUMMARY

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) family? We’re seeking a friendly and reliable Staff Shuttle Driver to assist with transporting NOC staff to an from our Wesser campus and staff housing in Bryson City, NC. This role is ideal for someone with outstanding customer service skills who enjoys working in a dynamic outdoor environment.

As a shuttle driver, you'll play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient transportation while providing a helpful service that complements our parking team efforts. If you thrive in a team-oriented setting and enjoy engaging with people, we’d love to hear from you!

THIS POSITION OPERATED PART-TIME FROM MAY TO SEPTEMBER 

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport NOC staff and guests in company vans.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shuttle, including regular washing and tidying.
  • Assist with parking guidance duties as needed.
  • Complete required documentation and reports for management.
  • Perform duties in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

 

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • At least 21 years old with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods.
  • Capable of bending, stooping, and twisting as needed.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions.
