Your Job:


The Brooks Global Creative team imagines/designs/curates/manifests creative concepts, campaigns, and assets that define and express the Brooks brand. Print, retail, packaging, web, digital, events—even porta potties—are our canvas and runners are our inspiration. Our growing team seeks an Associate Digital Production Designer to assist and support the production team through various tasks and duties in the Creative Lab.

 

As an Associate Production Designer, you’ll bring your creative talent, passion, keen eye, and creative thinking to as you learn the ropes of working in a fast-moving production environment. You will help support work that stretches across in-store POP, events, executive presentations, catalogues, digital and global brand assets. As part of the go-to-market design team, collaboration and flexibility are as important as your detail skills and communication prowess.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the production designers with executions of web- and print-ready assets in multiple dimensions and formats, using guidelines from approved creative concepts
  • Maintain design changes and consistency, such as resizing or text modifications and layout changes under tight timelines in a highly iterative and collaborative environment
  • Assist with Production Manager in preparing and releasing creative campaign guides and templates
  • Coordinate file preparations for our digital asset managements system
  • Help maintain documentation around production standards
  • Prepare files for client reviews and hand off production-ready files to the development team
  • Continually develop your design, presentation, and strategic skills; push your thinking beyond current projects with an understanding of how design solutions made today can affect future applications
  • Assist with layouts and designs for internal presentations and materials for internal meetings or events
  • Build and foster relationships with other team members at Brooks to gain and maintain a current and deep understanding of what drives the brand, business, and products
  • Improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of the creative production team by maintaining and streamlining processes as you learn the Brooks systems
  • Be eager to communicate and learn the workflow practices within the Creative team


Qualifications:
  • To Apply: An online portfolio demonstrating phenomenal design excellence with major consumer brands is required. Please add your online portfolio link at the top of your resume when applying.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years experience in a production design role in an in-house creative team, agency, or similar environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • Creative portfolio demonstrating layout and typography
  • Keen attention to detail in organization and execution in tasks
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Knowledge of programs like Figma and After Effects is a bonus
  • Genuine interested in learning design and workflow best practices in a creative department
  • Acutely detail-oriented and efficient time management skills
  • Ability to assist and learn in a team environment, and collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve results
  • Must possess a great attitude, sense of humor, and drive to improve the Brooks brand
  • A passion for the running enthusiast and active lifestyle

Compensation: 

The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $28.01 - $39.24 per hour. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
