    Overview

    FWI is building a team to provide comprehensive tour and visitor center operations for the Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas, supporting critical public education initiatives that communicate the significance of U.S. currency manufacturing, history, and security features. As Lead Tour Guide, you will serve as the primary educational resource for diverse audiences including school groups, Congressional constituents, and international visitors, managing both self-guided and guided tour experiences, operating interactive exhibits and theater presentations, and ensuring every visitor receives an exceptional educational experience that reflects the BEP's world-class reputation.

    **Position is contingent upon contract award**

    Work Schedule and Location:On-Site: This full time position will work Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (32 hours/week) at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Western Currency Facility, 9100 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131. May require extended early or late hours for special BEP events (3-5 times per year). Closed on federal holidays.

    Responsibilities

    Oversee tour operations including self-guided and guided tours

    Manage crowd control logistics and monitor time constraints for visitor staging and tour walkway access

    Distribute and provide instructions for tour wands, written tour spiels, handouts, and maps

    Ensure tour wands and materials are sanitized after each use (minimum once daily)

    Conduct periodic guided tours for special interest groups and prescheduled Congressional tours

    Train and supervise tour staff on English and Spanish tour spiels and approved verbiage

    Conduct periodic walkthroughs on tour walkway to monitor visitor experience quality

    Answer visitor questions about currency manufacturing, BEP history, and tour content

    Operate theater audiovisual equipment and Government-provided public address system

    Assist visitors with special needs (wheelchairs, audio description tours, interpreters)

    Monitor and ensure operational status of two floors of exhibits and displays

    Educate visitors about exhibit and display content during private tours

    Inventory tour wands daily and track serial numbers and repair activity

    Proactively engage with visitors when not performing other duties

    Coordinate with COR regarding equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, or uncovered questions

    Qualifications

    Required:

    At least one (1) year of verifiable customer service experience with responsibilities in a visitor center, public tour service, and/or retail sales operation

    At least one (1) year of verifiable public speaking and/or communications experience to larger groups (more than 30 people), involving making concepts accessible to a variety of ages

    Ability to read, write, speak and understand fluent English

    Ability to pass Low Risk background check conducted by BEP Personnel Security Branch

    U.S. citizen

    Desired:

    Bilingual proficiency in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking and understanding)

    Experience with audiovisual equipment operation

    Knowledge of U.S. currency production or related topics

    Uniform Requirements:

    Government-approved uniforms will be provided and must be worn during all duty hours:

    Black, brown, gray or blue short or long sleeve button-down shirt

    Pants or skirt in black or khaki (skirts must sit no more than 2 inches above the knee)

    Contractor's logo may appear (no more than 3" x 3")

    Brown or black socks

    Brown or black loafers, flats or dress shoes
