We are seeking a Senior Nursing Instructor to lead by example in the classroom, lab, and clinical settings. In this pivotal academic role, you will go beyond teaching by mentoring both students and other faculty, contributing to curriculum development, and upholding the highest standards of nursing education and professional practice.

Your Role
The Senior Nursing Instructor provides leadership in instructional excellence, curriculum delivery, and student success. You will design and deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction while modeling best practices in clinical judgment, ethics, and patient-centered care.
Working collaboratively with academic leadership, you will guide course alignment, mentor new faculty, and ensure that all instruction reflects current industry standards and regulatory requirements. Through mentorship and scholarly engagement, you’ll promote a culture of excellence that inspires both students and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Engaging Instruction: Deliver high-quality, student-centered learning experiences across classroom, lab, and clinical environments.
Mentor Faculty and Students: Provide guidance to junior faculty on teaching strategies, classroom management, and academic integrity while supporting student development and remediation.
Drive Academic Excellence: Contribute to curriculum evaluation and development to ensure course alignment with program and regulatory standards.
Support NCLEX Preparation: Ensure students demonstrate readiness through evidence-based instruction, simulation, and formative assessment.
Promote Professional Growth: Model lifelong learning and active participation in professional organizations and continuing education.
Collaborate for Success: Work closely with program leadership to uphold consistency, quality, and innovation across all areas of instruction.

What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse, including at least 3 years of teaching experience in nursing education.
Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
