Cherry Street Core Values:
At the ministry, we hold these core values to be crucial to performing everyday work. These are to be displayed by every employee hired at the organization at the time of hire and throughout their employment.
- Christ-Focused – Following the example of Christ, our actions are guided with compassion, integrity, and service; Fostering a culture of faith, kindness, and respect Galatians 2:20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Relational – Cultivating meaningful connections, trust, and collaboration among team members, guests, and community members; Fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all John 13:34- “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.” Ephesians 4:2- “With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Matthew 25:40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!”
- Innovative – Embracing creativity, forward-thinking, and continuous improvement to drive groundbreaking solutions and be a leader in setting industry standards Genesis 1:27 -“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God created them” ~ God is The Creator, we are made in His image, therefore we are creative Ephesians 2:10- “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do”.
- Solution oriented – Committed to proactive problem-solving, resilience, and adaptability; fostering a culture where challenges are opportunities for innovation and growth Psalm 50:15 “Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” Matthew 7:7- “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Philippians 4:13- “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”.
- Gritty – Demonstrating perseverance, determination, and resilience in the face of obstacles, moving the mission forward with unwavering commitment Joshua 1:9 “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” James 2:14-17 14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Moses leading the Israelites through the wilderness for 40 years, Noah spending decades building a ship while the world called him crazy, Job continuing to praise God through the many trials of his life… The stories of Grit, Endurance, and perseverance go on and on!
