Position: VP of Commercial Excellence

Work Location: Morristown, NJ; Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: Helen of Troy associates enjoy the advantages and flexibility of a hybrid working model, allowing for in office 3 days minimum, and remote 2 days. Any changes to this working model would be communicated accordingly.
What you will be doing:
The VP of Commercial Excellence plays a pivotal role in crafting the Helen of Troy selling organization and advancing our growth ambitions. This strategic leadership role will elevate our overall selling approach and customer engagement while developing and implementing comprehensive commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the Commercial Excellence organization comprised of Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, Trade Marketing and Revenue Growth Management.
Craft effective channel strategies that include pricing, distribution, assortment, and merchandising goals to create greater channel discipline and improve customer profitability.
Collaborate with marketing, product development, sales channel leaders and supply to ensure alignment on critical initiatives and to drive results.
Capture and analyze customer feedback, competitive activity, and industry trends to inform sales strategies and advise brand partners of marketplace conditions.
Be the Voice of the Customers to Brand & New Product Development teams on product portfolio decisions and potential new product ideas.
Analyze and refine sales processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and a positive customer experience.
Ensure smooth execution and hygiene on foundational sales operations activities such as adds/deletes, pricing policy management, and product updates/changes.
Contribute to sales forecasting processes ensuring accurate revenue projections and risks/opportunity management.
Develop trade budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
Establish key performance indicators to supervise sales team performance and efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Commercial Excellence Team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelorβs degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
15+ years of experience in commercial roles within the CPG, Beauty, or Durable Goods, with a focus on sales and marketing.
Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and retail relationships.
Role requires 20% domestic travel
Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
