Tour Guide

Job Summary: As a Schlafly Brewery Tour Guide, you will play a vital role in providing guests with an informative, engaging, and memorable experience at the original craft brewery in Saint Louis. You will lead tours through our brewery facilities, educating visitors about the brewing process, our history, and the distinct qualities that make Schlafly beers exceptional. Additionally, you will foster a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, ensuring guests leave with a deeper appreciation for craft beer and the Schlafly brand.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Brewery Tours: Lead guided tours through the brewery, showcasing various stages of the brewing process.
2. Educate Guests: Provide detailed and engaging explanations about brewing techniques, beer styles, ingredients, and the history of Schlafly Brewery.
3. Promote Schlafly Beers: Highlight the unique characteristics of Schlafly beers during tours, emphasizing quality, flavor profiles, and craftsmanship.
4. Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe environment for guests during tours, adhering to all brewery safety protocols and guidelines.
5. Answer Questions: Respond knowledgeably to questions from tour participants.
6. Facilitate Tastings: Conduct beer tastings as part of the tour experience, guiding guests through a selection of Schlafly's flagship and seasonal beers.
7. Provide Excellent Customer Service: Offer exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and their experience exceeds expectations.
8. Maintain Cleanliness: Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the brewery tour route, including common areas and restrooms.
9. Assist with Events: Occasionally assist with special events held at the brewery, such as beer releases, festivals, and private functions.

 Qualifications:

1. Passion for Craft Beer: Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and a desire to share that passion with others.
2. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences.
3. Knowledge of Brewing: Basic knowledge of brewing processes, ingredients, and beer styles preferred; willingness to learn and expand knowledge required.
4. Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role preferred, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
5. Professionalism: Ability to represent Schlafly Brewery in a professional manner, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
6. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing, walking, and leading tours for extended periods; ability to lift and carry moderate loads.
7. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
