As a member of the Americas’ Integrated Merchandising team, you will play a critical role in managing the Men’s & Kid’s Footwear team in all aspects of the seasonal Go-To-Market (GTM) Process.  You will develop informed “One Marketplace” regional product assortments that meet near and long-term financial and strategic brand goals for the channels of Direct to Consumer (DTC), Full Price (FP), Timberland Factory Outlet (TFO) and .com as well as Wholesale across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Manager, Integrated Merchandising – Men’s & Kids’ Footwear

You will be a trusted member of our team reporting to the Director – Integrated Merchandising, Men’s & Kids Footwear & Apparel.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

You will play a leadership role in advancing our regional business initiatives as part of the Americas’ merchandising team through the following key functions: 

  • Lead building Men’s and Kid’s Footwear assortments that amplify seasonal Brand stories
    • Prioritize Direct-to-Consumer (DTC)
    • Meet the needs of our key wholesale partners
    • Ensuring you meet all regional marketplace financial goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) 
  • Develop strong relationships with key cross functional partners including Global Merchandising, Regional Merchandising in EMEA and APAC, Regional Planning, Regional Marketing, and Regional Sales teams to ensure the needs of the Americas’ market are being met while following a One Marketplace mindset and approach
  • Effectively contribute to seasonal milestone inputs and outputs by taking an active and assertive role during product milestone meetings, such as
    • Presenting at key internal milestones such as Sales Meetings and DTC Boot Camp,
    • Presenting to key wholesale accounts during seasonal pre-line meetings,
    • And successfully incorporating consumer, customer, and market intelligence and feedback into the One Marketplace assortments 
  • Ensure diligent line management and highest data integrity, inclusive of segmentation intent, pricing, margin, initial forecasting, and historical analysis 

How you will do it:

  • By reinforcing the GTM process and cadence through effective inputs, outputs, and deliverables in accordance with the merchandise planning and operations guidelines 
  • By supporting the Director of Men’s & Kid’s Merchandising in seasonal milestones and non-seasonal projects involving marketplace and competitor insights geared towards informing near and long-term assortment decisions

Skill for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience:  3-5 years of experience in Merchandising, Buying, Planning or related Retailing

Formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees, such as a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field, are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements. 

What we expect you already know/have:

  • The ability to be on-site at headquarters on a weekly basis; exact days to vary depending on the needs of the business
  • A high interest in fashion, marketplace and consumer trends, and retailing   
  • The adeptness to work within a high functioning team in a fast pace, multi-dimensional role
  • The capability to function as both an individual thinker and a collaborative team player 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • An innovative, creative, and “can-do” positive attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally as may be necessary up to 15-20 percent of the time depending on seasonal milestone requirements

Hiring Range:

$92,000.00 USD - $115,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
