The Supplier Operations Coordinator – Compliance will play a critical role within the Trip Development organization. The Compliance Coordinator is a detail-oriented, organized, motivated individual who will play a key role in supporting our business across all regions. You will work closely with the Hotel and Subcon Operations Teams to ensure that our suppliers are complying with our legal terms and conditions (insurance and otherwise).

This role will monitor supplier insurance compliance and will partner with various stakeholders to ensure we have all proper documentation in place for each type of supplier. Additionally, this role will become an expert on all legal contract terms and work with our Supplier Operations team as well as our Field Staff to ensure our contracts meet internal requirements, comply to our gold standard terms, and protect Backroads’ interests. This role will escalate especially tricky situations and get input from key stakeholders including our broker. The Supplier Operations Compliance Coordinator must be comfortable working with a team, effectively managing priorities and meeting all deadlines.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of how Backroads works with suppliers in terms of insurance & legal contract terms
  • Conduct recurring supplier compliance audits to ensure that all suppliers have completed and validated all required documentation including certificates of insurance
  • Coordinate with internal teams to improve supplier compliance rates with our requirements and to escalate issues when suppliers do not meet requirements
  • Create, maintain & communicate reporting on status and progress of compliance to stakeholders regularly
  • Be a resource for Supplier Operations teams to help interpret terms and coordinate with suppliers to drive insurance & contract term compliance
  • Build on our existing internal knowledge base for our insurance requirements
  • Collaborate with multiple functional areas on the development of internal controls and compliance measures
  • Liaise with insurance brokers to gather guidance & maintain updated information & requirements

Salary Ranges:

$25.90 - $33.60

Our office roles are onsite in our Berkeley headquarters, unless specifically noted as 'available for remote'. We do allow one work-from-home day a week, as well as one work-from-anywhere week per year. This pay range is intended for in-person work in our Berkeley, CA headquarters. Pay ranges for remote-eligible roles will be subject to adjustment based on the geolocation of the employee.
