River Oaks Country Club is looking for energetic, friendly, and self-motivated individuals for our Camp ROCC program. You will report to the Youth & Family Manager and be a part of a team of around 12 counselors. Counselors are tasked with overseeing 50+ children through athletic exercise, team building, and field trips. 
 
Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm |Part time | $14-$16/hr 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise children throughout camp activities such as: tennis, golf lessons, free play, and swimming.
  • Participate in activities that include: crafts, games, swimming, team-building, and athletic activities.
  • Identify and respond to camper’s behavior issues.
  • Know and understand all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
  • Assist in the planning and implementing of the daily activities that fit the children’s needs and interests.
  • Direct or assist in the daily maintenance of the camp areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
Qualifications
  • Possess Red Cross Lifeguard /CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have worked with children in past jobs or pursuing a degree involving work with children.

  • Courteous, tactful, kind and respectful.
  • Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Reliable and timely – able to arrive at work on time and remain at the Club for the duration of the shift.
  • Able to spend long periods on your feet; work outside for the majority of the shift; attend to children at the pool area, this is typically wet and slippery; sustain continued exposure to humidity, sunlight and heat exceeding 100 degrees; push, pull or lift up to 30 pounds.
