Principal Function: The Camp First Aid Specialist provides on-site minor medical care and oversees the camp's first aid program. Works as part of a team to deliver a safe, exciting, and educational experience to a group of campers age 5, 6 & 7, 8 & 9, 10 & 11, 12 or 13. Provides treatment to campers and staff for injuries that may arise from engaging in activities such as swimming and canoeing, arts and crafts, outdoor games, archery, hiking, and biking.

Schedule and Hours: The standard hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Staff training begins on May 19th, 2025, and camp begins on May 27th, 2025. The last day of camp is August 3rd, 2025. Staff must be able to attend staff training week and at least eight of the ten weeks of camp. Compensation: This is a full-time, seasonal position that is eligible for approved overtime. Benefits are not provided. Pay for this position starts at $14.50 per hour.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is exposed to working in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), and outdoor weather conditions. The employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, near fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and work with explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Conner Prairie is generally open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, this position will be required to work beyond these hours and when open for special events.
