Mountain High Outfitters Store Managers possess the following key qualifications:



  • Proven ability to drive amazing Guest experiences in a team environment.

  • Experience with effectively managing multiple commitments to Guests and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to adapt to challenges while remaining calm in a constantly changing retail environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with at least three years of experience in a customer-facing sales setting.

  • Proven track record of sales revenue growth.


Base pay for a Mountain High Outfitters Store Manager is determined in part by experience and skill level, as well as individual Shop performance. The average base range is $50,000 - $60,000, and Store Managers are eligible for bonus pay that ranges between $1,000 and $5,000 per year. This is a salaried position and requires a work schedule of between 43.5 - 47.5 hours per week, depending upon Shop needs and season.

Mountain High Outfitters Store Managers have supervisory responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:



  • Managing 3 - 5 subordinate supervisors and 1 - 30 non-management Associates.

  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Shop.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Interviewing, hiring and training Associates.

  • Planning, assigning and directing work.

  • Appraising performance

  • Rewarding and coaching Associates

  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
