THE ROLE  

Senior Social Creative will spearhead the development and understanding of creative concepting, user engagement approaches & social platform interaction, inspiration & idea development for the entire agency. This is an integral role to the business, translating brand challenges into effective social solutions.  

  

You’ll bring your knowledge and expertise to the development of brand proposition strategies as part of Wilderness’ owned product offering. This role reports directly into our Executive Creative Director.  

  

You will support our teams across divisions in the development of creative ideas feeding into and levelling up the work we do with our clients and encouraging and promoting a culture of excellence.  

  

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY  

A central resource across strategic creative concepting; bringing big thinking that is grounded in insight while inspiring and building on the ideas of others. Contributing to the winning, retaining and upselling of existing and new business: 

  

  • Focus on concepting, developing and inspiring big creative and strategic ideas  

  • Contributes to the delivery of our social media strategy product – working with the team to define new conceptual approaches and creative frameworks 

  • Lead portions of the new business process – feeding into research, ideation and mock up development playing a key role in deck creation and presentation. 

  • Contributing to knowledge sharing and development of expertise company wide (providing the team with inspiration and guidance) 

  • Setting a precedent and being an example to team members; time management, arrival times, quality of work, positive impact during team meetings, challenging assumptions and looking for solutions to challenges.  

  • Understanding of the company’s client portfolio and supporting other teams to deliver campaigns and client projects.  

  

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?  

  

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role at a digital marketing or media agency.  

  • Knowledge and understanding of brand building, creative planning and concept development.  

  • Able to demonstrate, present and inspire with your creative thinking.  

  • Digitally savvy and able to understand and engage on Social Media platforms. 

  • Understand the different types of communication by platform (Meta vs TikTok etc.). You should be conversant with abbreviations, platform-specific words, and acronyms.  

  • Able to work independently, managing your time and deadlines appropriately but also equally happy working as part of a remote team.  

  • Prepared to manage a team and elevate the work and development of other individuals in the agency. 

  • A creative background.
