Ski Patrol monitors the mountain, promoting a safe environment for guests and employees. Ski patrol provides first aid, rescue, and transport to those in need.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Respond to medical emergencies on the mountain.
TransportΒ injured guests off of the mountain.
Administer first aid and, in some cases, extended patient care.
Assess and mitigate hazards and safety concerns within the Resort ski area.
Maintain Resort ski area signs, ropes, and padding.
Educate guests on proper conduct and safety measures.
Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
Perform sweeps at the end of the day to ensure that all guests and employees are safely off the mountain.
Special duties may include performing chair lift evacuations, search and rescue, and avalanche mitigation.
Perform other Mountain Operations duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Current CPR and EMT certification is required. (OEC, WFR, or similar training may be considered in some cases.)
Must demonstrate advanced to expert skiing or snowboarding ability to safely navigate any area of the mountain in all weather and snow conditions
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have a strong work ethic and self-motivation.
Must work well with a team and collaborate with others regularly.
Must be committed to maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees.
Must have a working knowledge of all emergency and evacuation procedures.
Must exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50+ lbs.
Must be able to work for an extended period of time in varying weather conditions, including blizzard, extreme cold,Β and/or wind.
Must be able to work at high altitudes for an extended period of time.
Must be able to safely walk in ski/snowboard boots in icy conditions.
Must be willing to adapt and problem solve in a dynamic work environment.
