JOB SUMMARY 

The Senior Director, Marriott Bonvoy Outdoor position role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our outdoor and adventure travel offerings, driving growth, and enhancing the overall member experience. The Senior Director will be responsible for identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, developing innovative programs, and overseeing the platforms to integrate these offerings globally. This position requires expertise in the outdoor and travel industries to create compelling and unique experiences. The role involves close collaboration with cross-discipline teams to ensure the seamless execution of initiatives and to drive significant revenue growth. The ability to analyze market trends, understand customer needs, and develop strategic plans will be key to success. CANDIDATE PROFILE  

Education and Experience  

Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major  
  • 10+ years’ relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance 
  • Prior experience in the outdoor and/or travel industries   

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES  

Leading Strategy and Partnerships  

  • Lead the strategy for establishing Marriott as a competitive player in the outdoor and adventure travel market. 
  • Develop the partnership strategy for Marriott Bonvoy Outdoor focusing on innovative outdoor and adventure travel offerings that will appeal to our members and drive business results. 
  • Pursue partnerships with outdoor brands to increase engagement, member experience, and overall growth for the enterprise. 
  • Create business cases and solicitation materials to secure ad revenues from outdoor partnerships. 
  • Develop a network of assets to integrate partnership messages and offers that add value to loyalty brands and provide sustainable revenue streams. 
  • Manage the partner selection process and contract negotiations in collaboration with Legal, and Finance teams. 

Data and Reporting  

  • Develop metrics to measure business performance and ROI on Partnerships  
  • Analyze performance data and report on business results to appropriate stakeholders

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration 

  • Partner with Loyalty and Digital Communications teams to develop integrated marketing offers and value-add partnerships. 
  • Update stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, respond to concerns, and solicit feedback. 

The salary range for this position is $165,100 to $231,800 annually.
