Position Overview:

As the Senior Corporate Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in elevating our brand presence and driving local sales results. You will lead our sales team, focusing on achieving key financial metrics while fostering strong relationships within the corporate and luxury leisure markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Establish annual sales goals and budgets, creating a comprehensive marketing plan to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Market Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of our resort's offerings, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies to effectively differentiate us in the marketplace.
  • Customer Insights: Analyze market trends and customer intelligence to adapt sales strategies that align with client expectations and enhance satisfaction.
  • Action Plan Management: Develop and execute a strategic action plan to engage key demand generators within the market.
  • Sales Distribution Evaluation: Continuously assess and optimize the resort's involvement in various sales distribution channels, building strong partnerships to enhance market positioning.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly update key stakeholders on marketing plan progress, including metrics, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget to create impactful brand-specific campaigns and promotional materials that drive revenue.
  • Partnership Development: Foster strategic alliances to support marketing initiatives and expand reach.
  • Promotion Creation: Design resort-specific promotions communicated through our CRM and traditional marketing channels.
  • Collaborative Marketing Support: Work alongside the CMO and COO to contribute to the area marketing calendar and media plan, assisting in the development of marketing materials for regional initiatives.
  • Process Optimization: Implement effective structures and performance management systems to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Sales Reporting Compliance: Ensure adherence to company sales reporting standards, utilizing Maestro Sales & Catering and other relevant systems.
  • Event Participation: Prepare detailed reports on travel and tradeshow activities and guide monthly sales department meetings.
  • Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute quarterly action plans to engage existing key accounts and target new business opportunities.
  • Community Engagement: Maintain active participation and visibility in local business organizations, such as Downtown Alliance, HSMAI, CVB, NYC & Company, and Chamber of Commerce.

Requirements:

  • In order to be seriously considered for this position you must have a minimum of 3 years in hospitality (Resort or Hotel) sales leadership, focusing on strategic sales and brand development.
  • Proven track record of success in corporate and luxury leisure markets, with strong customer connections.
  • Experience in developing and executing effective sales objectives and strategies, including familiarity with online marketing and budget planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Intellectual curiosity and analytical thinking to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps, PMS, and Delphi, with advanced computer skills.
  • Experience in managing and marketing luxury brands is preferred.
  • Strong financial planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Deep knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends, and economic factors affecting sales.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to engage both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Conflict resolution skills and the capability to gather accurate information to address client needs.

This position does require in office availability, located in Hamburg NJ.
