Description

The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley are seeking an experienced, highly organised Senior Administration Officer to provide comprehensive confidential support to the Chief Executive Officer, Directors and Elected Members. This key role involves managing various administrative duties critical to the smooth operation of the organisation, including handling travel logistics, meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and accurate minute-taking. You will also manage diary scheduling for the leadership team, coordinate civic receptions, liaise with stakeholders, and assist with procurement functions. Additionally, you will proofread and format Council documents and assist with tender administration.

You will be expected to adhere to procurement policies, legislative requirements and ensure all documentation is stored appropriately. As part of your role, you will foster a positive workplace culture, support team cohesion and actively engage in your own professional development. Ensuring workplace health and safety standards are met will also be a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and discreet with strong attention to detail. Skills And Experiences
  1. Experience in providing comprehensive executive support to senior staff.
  2. Demonstrated high level organisational, time management and priority setting skills while producing high quality and accurate results.
  3. High level interpersonal and written skills, including research and preparation of reports, memos, letters and other documents.
  4. Accurate and efficient typing skills with experience in using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and presentation software.
  5. High level of personal integrity, confidentially and discretion.
