JOB SUMMARY

The Bartenders of Big Wesser Riverside Pub will oversee preparing beverages and taking food orders for guests at the bar.  This is a seasonal role that operates from May to early November. An ideal candidate will be prepared to: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, stock and maintain beer inventory and coolers, and welcome each guest to the bar in with a friendly demeanor. This position will require the ability to work well in a fast paced and high energy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Mixing beverages using a shaker, muddler and other bar tools
  • Taking beverage & food orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
  • Satisfying guests requests in a timely manner
  • Assessing customer preferences and making drink & food recommendations
  • Collecting money for all orders and providing change as needed out of bank
  • Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all guests
  • Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
  • Cleaning the bar and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
  • Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
  • Slicing or preparing fruit garnishes for drinks
  • Complying with all food and beverage state and local regulations
  • Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behavior.

  • Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 21 years old
  • Ability to stand for long periods 
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 35lbs
