Petit Ermitage seeks an individual with knowledge Hotel Reservations system Opera Cloud a plus, able to work immediately that possesses a distinct and pleasant personality, excellent work ethic, a positive attitude, an eye for detail and a natural aptitude for absorbing new information quickly for the Reservations Agent position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Answer incoming phone calls and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear communication. Listen to callers to understand inquiries and requests. Promptly provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, rates, hotel facilities & services, directions, etc.
- Build reservations based on guest preferences and availability. Obtain all designated information to book a reservation: guest name, cc details, address, phone number, email & special requests.Β
- Respond to guest emails and voicemails in a timely manner.
- Check the hotel availability and arrivals daily: review hotel occupancy and room availability daily in order to determine booking options. For same day reservations, check the Room Plan in order to see location of the room. Check arrival reservations daily to make sure the rate code & market segment are matching.
- Open and close hotel inventory based on availability and criteria being met.Β
- Check Expedia & Booking.com arrivals daily, cross reference in Opera, and prepare for each weekend.Β
- Manage the hotel reservations email and set up bookings coming through various systems whether it be VIP status, merging of profiles, routing/billing setup, or adding any relevant comments and requests. Manage communication from guest/travel agents - quote rates, answer questions, build reservations & send confirmation letters.
Reconcile OTA commissions approximately once a week for Expedia, Booking.com, Tablet, etc.
Comply with attendance rules, punctual and flexible to work as needed.Β

**Job Requirements for Reservation Agent at Petit Ermitage:**
1. **Hotel Experience**: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hotel or hospitality environment. 2. **Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed. 3. **Availability**: Must be available to work weekends and flexible shifts. 4. **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective guest interaction. 5. **Technical Proficiency**: Familiarity with reservation systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 6. **Customer Service Orientation**: Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service to guests. 7. **Attention to Detail**: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing reservations and guest requests.
