Travel Weekly, the leading business publication in the travel industry, is looking for dynamic, enterprising, experienced reporter to join our news team as the Senior Editor for Tours and River Cruises. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our readers informed about the global tour industry and the expanding river cruising market. The ideal candidate has a strong background in breaking news and business-news journalism who can consistently deliver timely stories. You’ll break stories on a regular basis; cultivate sources within the tours and river cruise sectors; identify and report on news and trends to write longer-form analysis pieces; and travel to report on news and innovative travel products. Travel Weekly is part of the Northstar Travel Group.
We’re looking for a news journalist who loves to work hard for a good news story. Ideal candidates must possess excellent reporting, writing and editing skills, as well as have experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment – you’ll work independently but also thrive in a collaborative atmosphere with our team of reporters and editors. This role will require regular travel.
This position will be based in the New York metro area. Candidates must be able to commute to our offices in Rutherford, N.J. or New York City and work a hybrid schedule. Flexibility is provided.
