Job Summary

 

The Maintenance Technician directly reports to the Repair and Maintenance Manager. In this position, you will work with a team to make sure that NOC facilities and grounds are maintained and meet the needs of the user at all campus operations and staff housing properties. NOC Maintenance and Repair employees must have a positive attitude when interacting with guests, contract service providers, and fellow staff members. 


Responsibilities


  • Perform repairs to buildings, equipment, and grounds as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities according to the schedule.
  • Responsible for department vehicles and equipment as designated.
  • Operate equipment and perform tasks safely at all times.
  • Assist with projects as outlined by department manager.
  • Inform supervisor of any concerns or issues with facilities, grounds, equipment or vehicles.
  • Support Repair and Maintenance Department as needed.
  • General grounds upkeep of all NOC property.
  • Assist R&M Team with any and all projects assigned to them.

Qualifications


  • Preferred skill set to include electrical, plumbing, construction and carpentry
  • Working knowledge of recycling products
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be at least 21 as the position requires the driving of company vehicles
  • HVAC experience helpful
  • Working knowledge of tools and procedures related to all maintenance and construction trade
  • Available for 'on-call' to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work with a variety of personalities to accomplish the desired outcome, to include guest, staff, and subcontractors
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and frequently lift large and heavy items
  • Must be able to climb ladders and be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Responsible, professional and trustworthy and Self-motived to sustain productive work
  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Proven experience with lawn equipment
  • Proven experience backing trailers and will be asked to do so prior to hire.
