What you will be doing:

1. This position provides Technical and Quality Engineering support in New Product Development and Mass production, and directly interface with suppliers on routine quality operations.

2. Implement the defined quality work processes ; Derive and implement the detailed quality work procedures, assess and monitor supplier performance and drive for continuous improvement.

3. Operational responsibility covers:

  • New supplier quality assessment
  • Regular supplier quality audit
  • New product risk assessment and production process validation, achieving Built-in Quality
  • Supplier quality management (QE)
  • Secure the quality of delivered product
  • Quality engineering back up to the QC team
  • Production and After-sales quality incident analysis and resolution
  • Develop supplier quality capability to cope with business needs

4. This position requires extensive collaborative work alongside with APO team (China/Shenzhen), BU team (US) and particularly with suppliers.

5. This position requires considerable travel and on-site participation at supplier locations.

Qualifications:

  • Technical College graduate in engineering (Electrical/ Electronic/Mechanical/Industrial) or equivalent.
  • More than 5 years relevant experience in quality or engineering
  • Experience in supplier management / development
  • Product experience in electrical appliances, electronic or consumer products
  • Effective problem solving, root cause analytical skills to lead and influence others to drive change
  • Experience on team management and people competency development
  • Ability to work in highly competing industrial environment, with strong desire to WIN ; Ability to drive and lead changes
  • Good personal leadership & be self-initiative ; strong analytical, problem solving, coaching, interpersonal & communication skills
  • Good reporting skill
  • Good English communication is essential. Ability to speak and read Vietnamese and Chinese is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge in quality management standards/tools, e.g. ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO17025, TS16949, GMP, APQP, FMEA, LEAN, 8-D, 6 Sigma, Black belt, Green belt. . .
  • Little understanding on international / national regulations and directives is preferred, e.g. FDA, FCC, UL, RoHS, REACH, Prop65, TPCH, . . .
  • Ability to interpret and understand 3rd party Lab Test Report and QMS Audit Report.
