Description

Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a civil project engineer/manager to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. This engineer will work under the direction of a Senior Engineer on a broad range of project types. The position would offer the opportunity to work on water/wastewater design throughout New Mexico and national locations.

Our investigative engineers can provide support for existing projects, both buildings and sites, to design and implement repairs, renovations, or improvements. With nine office locations and a staff of more than 370, Martin/Martin engineers regularly perform work throughout Colorado, across the United States, and internationally. Martin/Martin has been involved in water and wastewater projects with the National Park Service for over 30 years and has traveled across the U.S. and to Mexico and Antarctica for treatment-related projects.


Examples Of Responsibilities:

  • Utilize AutoCad/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate small to medium size projects within time allotments and within project budgets. 
  • Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.
  • Serve as point-of-contact with Clients, Contractors and other design disciplines.
  • Provide quality-control check of work produced.
  • Provide project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.
  • Attend project meetings during design and construction.
  • Monitor project budgets and reviews and/or approves invoicing to clients.
  • Works overtime, when necessary.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • Registered PE license in the State of New Mexico or ability to obtain one within 3 months.
  • 4– 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
  • Project experience in the following areas:
    • Treatment facilities – water and wastewater
    • Water and sanitary master planning
    • Water pump stations and sanitary lift stations
    • Storage tanks
    • Septic
    • Regulatory design review and permitting
    • Hydraulic modeling for sewer collection and water distribution

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Min 4 years’ experience in Water/Wastewater engineering
  • Min 1 years’ experience with PE license.
  • Knowledge of or proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D, StormCAD, FlowMaster, BioWIN
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater permitting of jurisdictions within the greater Albuquerque, NM Metropolitan area
  • Master’s degree in civil/environmental engineering
