Program Manager, Trail Data Integrity
About the Role
We’re seeking a Program Manager for the Data Integrity team. This team creates and curates the routes on AllTrails and ensures the ongoing quality and accuracy of our trail data, all of which helps our customers to have safe and fun outdoor experiences. In this role, you will work with technical stakeholders and use tools like SQL to turn ideas into initiatives that have a tangible impact on the quality and accuracy of trail data. You will prioritize and operationalize manual trail data curation projects, monitor and improve key performance indicators, and communicate clearly with cross-functional and executive stakeholders through data visualizations, decks, and presentations. The ideal candidate has a mix of people management, data analysis, and data visualization skills, as well as interest in maps, GIS, and the outdoors. The role reports to the Director of Data Integrity.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensuring high quality trail data is delivered globally at scale by owning the roadmap of manual trail data initiatives and making sure they are correctly scoped, operationalized, and prioritized
- Strategizing and reporting on KPIs and OKRs on a weekly and monthly cadence to enable broad cross functional alignment on the vision for trail data at AllTrails
- Improving tooling, automation, and process across the Data Integrity team to unlock efficiency in driving towards business growth
- Managing our managers to unlock operational leverage in multiple concurrent projects- being a high level thought leader while empowering others as they take on day-to-day execution of project implementations
- Identifying and mitigating risks by monitoring async comms to proactively surface potential issues, unblock obstacles and develop effective action plans for remediation and resolution
- Communicating effectively with senior leadership and cross functional stakeholders to resolve conflict and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity
- Fostering a culture of compassion and high performance that reflects our core values
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience scaling complex, global programs and/or working on strategy
- 2+ years experience as a people manager at a consumer technology company
- Experience communicating effectively with leadership through written comms, data visualizations, and verbal presentations
- Experience identifying KPIs and reporting on goals and progress
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and tools like Looker, Preset, Amplitude etc,
- Previous experience working with web and app development teams and using platforms like JIRA
- Familiarity with the mapping application ecosystem
Bonus Points:
- GIS/OSM experience
- Experience working with or managing International teams
- Ability to speak additional languages

$85,000 - $105,000 a year
A successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on various factors such as skills, experience, training and credentials, as well as other business purposes or needs. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range of their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors and circumstances of each case.
