Job Description

We are looking for an experience Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of goods. You will ultimately be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and quality of output. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance, having a firm knowledge of production procedures, decision-making skills, problem-solving skills and a flexible schedule when required, are attributes we are looking for.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees and directs all activities of manufacturing on the production floor.
• Ensures inventory requirements are met and monitors production to resolve issues.
• Clear understanding and working knowledge of pellet mill operations and associated manufacturing equipment.
• Works with Maintenance Department to improve processes and profitability and assists in scheduling of downtime, purchasing of equipment, and evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
• Thorough knowledge of company safety policies and OSHA guidelines to ensure all safety and health standards are met.
• Supervises and evaluates performance of production personnel, scheduling, timecards, training, new hire orientation.
• Works with ancillary department managers to develop workflow policies and SOPs to improve efficiency without compromising safety and quality.
• Develops production training manuals and assists with training and orientation of new employees.

Position Requirements/Qualifications

• Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
• Knowledge of production management. Lean manufacturing a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
• Experience with NetSuite a plus.
• Decision Making and problem-solving skills.

Pay Range:

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
