Specialized is looking to hire a Product Manager of Footwear. This person is responsible for driving product and business results while leading and inspiring the product creation mission. This is a key leader and voice within the brand that works cross functionally to build category strategies and execute at the highest level. Moreover, we’re looking for someone to dream what the future of footwear is and to find a way to make it happen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire and lead the Footwear creation process by representing the voice of the rider and delivering innovative products to market.
  • Research product needs from our global riders and translate into product and graphic briefs that drive design, costing and line strategy.
  • Actively manage the product line and create product strategy and vision for category, for all riding experiences.
  • Partner with the BodyGeometry group to onboard new technologies, materials and processes to drive innovation.
  • Maintain accurate & organized project documentation to track projects and drive on-time delivery.
  • Present product vision, features, and functionality to executive team, sales team and externally to retailers.
  • Work with marketing to drive the go-to-market process and execute global activations.
  • Ongoing financial analysis as it relates to current business and potential new business.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Self-motivated team member with depth of business, design, and manufacturing knowledge.
  • Leader who exhibits the vision and creativity to drive innovative solutions for tomorrow’s needs with a keen sense of current trends.
  • Ideal candidate has bachelor’s degree (such as Business, Engineering, Product development, etc). Can be substituted with meaningful experience in product development.
  • Highly developed presentation abilities.
  • Product management/marketing or product development experience or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the cycling industry, bike retail preferred.
  • Prefer two years of experience in sporting goods or a recreation-related industry.
  • Deep understanding of retail and the corresponding opportunities and challenges.
  • Candidates should have a solid understanding of design and development processes including timelines, manufacturing & delivery.
  • Open to travel (international and domestic) 15-20%.
  • Curiosity to continually find a better way, humble approach to teamwork and a passion to aim for real innovation.

PAY

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

Colorado Base Pay Range: ($52,467 - $83,532 annual)

*At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
