Position Summary

The President will be a dynamic and visionary leader who will bring strong strategic, management, and critical thinking skills with an inclusive, dedicated focus to the growth of the touring brands within North America, including Trafalgar, Costsaver, Brendan Vacations, Luxury Gold, Insight Vacations and Contiki. The President reports directly to the CEO and is accountable on all aspects of the performance of his/her/their duties and responsibilities. They are responsible for carrying out the long-range strategic plan as well as short term business plans agreed with the CEO and executive team and ensuring that the organization meets or exceeds established goals. 


The President will build and model a great company culture true to our vision and mission, provide inspired leadership to our executive team, establish a strong working relationship with our partners, communicate effectively with all stakeholders, and set a course for company strategy while delivering on all operating and strategic commitments. As a member of the global leadership team, work collaboratively with colleagues in other regions and work to find solutions and take advantage of opportunities across the wider organization. 


This highly visible position interfaces with key b2b trade partners, media and tourism leaders, serving as the spokesperson for the organization, ensuring ongoing and active communication and partnership.



Requirements



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The President provides leadership and strategic direction TTC Tour Brands in North America. This role is headquartered in Cypress, California, with oversight for our offices and teams in the United States and Canada. The successful candidate will be an inspirational and collaborative leader with executive presence who achieves business objectives through persuasion, relationships, and credibility. Specific leadership responsibilities include the following: 


Strategic Development and Operations 

  • Focus TTC Tour Brands strategy on growth and profitability 
  • Develops and grows new channels of business 
  • Oversees, directly & indirectly, ongoing operations of all departments and business lines within TTC Tour Brands N. America, including sales, marketing, groups, guest relations, and contact center. 
  • Assesses and responds to market trends, risks, and opportunities that impact the success of the organization’s strategy. 
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and P&Ls for both sales and overheads across two countries, 6 brands 
  • Reviews the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company's objectives and responding appropriately to correct unsatisfactory performance and results. 
  • Ensures the company's compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards. 


Leadership and Culture 

  • Provides direct oversight, guidance, and mentorship to the executive team.  
  • Oversees employment decisions at the executive level of the organization. Provides indirect leadership to the senior leadership team. 
  • Leads executive team to drive short- and long-term results to meet strategic goals and make critical decisions. 
  • Cultivates the culture of collaboration as an organization that delivers unique value and best-in-class service to its guests and partners. 
  • Promotes a culture of accountability. 
  • Creates a positive work environment for employees and promotes the organization’s mission, values, and business strategies. 
  • Ensures the development of effective recruitment, training, retention, and talent development programs that enable and motivate employees to strive for continual improvement. 
  • Promotes and fosters a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. 


Global Executive Leadership 

  • As a key member of the global executive team, the President will represent the unique needs of the N. American market while working to find solutions that will benefit the entire organization. 
  • Forge collaborative, trusting, and transparent working relationships with the other regional TTC Tour Brands leadership.  
  • Be a thought leader and promote innovative ideas and solutions for step change growth or improved efficiencies. 


COMPETENCIES

  • Must be able to effectively analyze, communicate, and respond. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in both B2B and B2C environments; experience in a data-driven, customer centric organization preferred. 
  • A successful record of accomplishment for establishing and growing strategic commercial partnerships. 
  • Forward thinking; Proven success in developing short and long-range plans and objectives, including budgeting, financial implications, and organizational development. 
  • Good understanding of contractual commitments, industry groups, key customers, and regulatory agencies as they relate to the organization’s business. 
  • Astute interpersonal, relationship building, and modern communication skills, with the ability to facilitate alignment across the organization. Diplomacy skills.  
  • A champion and advocate for the organization, with the courage and empathy to address complex decisions. 
  • Experience building trusting, collaborative, and transparent working relationships with stakeholders and partners to advance an organization’s strategy.

EXPERIENCE  

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in executive-level management 
  • Demonstrated ability to balance visionary work with the tactical day-to-day management of an organization. 
  • Proven experience managing a full P&L for a large organization. 
  • Extensive experience with team and client relationship management in a complex matrix-driven leadership structure. 
  • Expertise in sales, marketing and customer services strategies specific to the travel industry. 


TECHNICAL SKILLS 

  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Advanced excel and PowerPoint capabilities are a plus 
  • Multi-channel marketing experience a plus 


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Up to 50% travel required
