Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced investigator and security professional to support Stanley’s brand protection efforts in China. This role’s primary responsibilities will be to (1) investigate factories that produce counterfeit products, (2) investigate the sales and distribution of counterfeit products, and (3) develop security programs for our factories and third-party service provides that support Stanley’s supply chain operations. The Manager will report to the Director of Investigations and Security.
Key Responsibilities

Create and develop best practices to protect Stanley’s assets under the direction of the Director of Investigations and Security. This may include:

Creating customized security programs for confidential product launches.

Identifying and implementing controls to reduce risk and mitigate fraud.

Working with the Supply Chain team and the company’s suppliers to develop programs to reduce theft and unauthorized disclosures of confidential information.

Assessing the controls and security protocols of suppliers and other third-party service providers.

Implement security protocols for Stanley-managed test labs, factories, warehouses, and other facilities.

Investigate incidents at the request of the Director of Investigations and Security, which may include investigations that result in reports and referrals to law enforcement.

Act as the primary liaison with law enforcement agencies in China.

Develop and implement strategies to detect, identify, and seize counterfeit products.

Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and other agencies to identify and seize counterfeit products.

Work with law enforcement agencies and outside counsel to prosecute cases involving the manufacture, distribution, and sale of counterfeit products.

Support the Legal team in connection with civil enforcement of Stanley’s intellectual property rights.

Previous experience building and creating new programs.

Must have experience working with cross-functional teams in EMEA, APAC, North America, and LATAM.

Strong record of leading teams and developing talent.

Experience effectively managing investigators in China.

Excellent command of Excel to create budgets and manage third-party expenses.

Substantial experience with consumer goods and/or retail companies.
Education and Experience
- BA required.

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as an investigator and security professional.

Prior experience in law enforcement required.

Advanced proficiency with Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
