Job Summary

The Infrastructure Engineer II plays a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the foundational systems that support Collette’s on-prem and cloud technology environments. This includes networks, servers, storage devices, and other related hardware and software. This role works closely with product teams as well as devops engineers, system administrators, network engineers and the security team to ensure that services are robust, efficient and secure to enable our organization to operate smoothly and scale effectively.

The Infrastructure Engineer must be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines, troubleshoot complex problems, and work under pressure to ensure that business systems are available and performing well at all times. Infrastructure Engineers must always be prepared to handle emergencies anytime, and anywhere.

Primary Functions

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and redundancy.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Automate infrastructure tasks using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or similar.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Ensure security best practices are followed and implemented.
  • Document infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more cloud platforms ( Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency with WAF/firewall, CDNS, and load management (Fastly, Check Point, Kemp)
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (eg., Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, etc.).
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of networking, security, and database management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Auvik, Nagios).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).

Salary Range: $78,000 - $140,000
