This position is remote. Work hours are Monday through Friday with some Saturdays needed.
What you’ll be doing…
- Respond to leads from experienced travel professionals, and individuals new to the industry interested in becoming home based, owner operated, independent affiliates
- Screen and qualify potential independent affiliates (PIA's)
- Communicate with prospective independent affiliates regarding all aspects of the qualification process in a timely and professional manner
- Follow up with leads in a timely and professional manner
- Identify, research, qualify, and select independent affiliates
- Build and maintain effective relationships with prospective independent affiliates
- Achieve department and individual goals
- Present recommendations to the management team for approval
- Play a key role in both strategic and tactical direction
- Analyze sales processes and identify opportunities for continued enhancement
- Limited travel to assist in industry events and Avoya Travel functions
- Perform special projects and reports as requested
- Some business travel is required
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
What it takes to be successful...
- Strong sales experience with proven track record of success
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Desire to work in a fast paced, evolving, and collaborative team environment
- Ability to be proactive, resourceful, and reliable
- Travel industry experience a plus, but not mandatory
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to work a varied schedule
