As Head of Investor Relations & Business Development, you play a crucial role in stewarding and continuously improving the Company's investor relationship strategy globally. Reporting to the CFO, you ensure the vision and continued success are conveyed to existing and new investors. Expected to build positive relationships with investors and financial community members, including financial analysts, and curate and prepare for relevant investor events.

In addition, responsible for helping shape the company’s strategy by identifying industry trends, maintaining relationships with relevant external partners, and sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and implementing strategic acquisitions/investments across all geographies and businesses. Cultivate relationships and discussions leading to the “buyer of choice” position if such opportunities present themselves. This includes enabling successful transaction execution and integration, preparation and implementation of action plans for due diligence and post-integration, and formulation of preferred approach tactics. Also, identify potential divestitures, allowing for Helen of Troy's (HELE) portfolio of brands to continue to improve in value creation and margin performance.

Business Development:

  • Provide input and implementation of the organization’s Strategic Plan and direction as it relates to potential acquisition sectors and additions to the HoT portfolio

  • Produce financial modeling and value in various areas, including identifying and comprehending transactions, strategic fit, and the presentation preparation of recommendations to the senior leadership

  • Construct and actively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional Business Unit departments to support the diligence and investigation of prospective opportunities

  • Lead the M&A financial analytical role, performing the modeling and financial analysis

Investor Relations:

  • Articulate the company vision, strategy, and financial performance in collaboration with senior executives

  • Advise and counsel the executive team and board of directors on investor sentiment, feedback, and perceptions

  • Build briefing materials for management in preparation for investor meetings

  • Oversee the execution of the annual Shareholder Meeting

  • Understand competitor performance and industry, regulatory, and other relevant trends to create an outstanding corporate messaging in partnership with leadership across the company

  • Support the Quarterly earnings results process and prepare content in partnership with the executive leadership team

  • Develop and maintain a robust understanding of business drivers and metrics and advise leadership on emerging trends.

  • Build models and leverage data analysis to understand complex relationships, identify key trends, and gain insight into our revenue/expense line items, drivers, and scalability

  • Create and build confidence with existing investors and improve relations and communications between the organization and its board members

  • Lead all aspects of the investor relations strategy by identifying and securing new opportunities

  • Develop rapport and relationships with individuals and groups with an outgoing, poised, persuasive communication style. Learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with outstanding Project management skills and the ability to lead time-sensitive projects with opposing deadlines

  • Strong foresight and understanding of financial statements

  • Forward-thinking, passionate about driving investor relations strategy and presenting the story of the company's growth to new and existing investors

  • Strong concept of capital markets, financial statements, and valuation models used by investors and analysts

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other related fields. MBA preferred

  • 20+ years of experience in investor relations in a publicly traded company

  • Solid understanding of SEC regulations and reporting requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
