Financial Analyst

MeatEater, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated person to join our team as a Financial Analyst.

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Company by providing accurate financial analysis, preparing reports, and helping with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. This position will collaborate with various departments and brands to ensure that strategic decisions are data-driven. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and a passion for the outdoor industry.

This position is located in Bozeman, Montana.

Reports to: Director Corporate Finance, Planning, and Analysis

 Core Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and actively lead the three year planning process.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide actionable insights to help improve operational efficiency and cost control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business operations and provide financial insights to guide decision-making.
• Develop financial models to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
• Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess company performance.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required).

Experience 

• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, public accounting, or commercial banking.
• Experience working in and or supporting omni channel retail brands.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and business intelligence tools (experience with DOMO, NetSuite, or similar is a plus).
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
