What you get to do:

  • Support and act as liaison for park Special Events Sales team for client event planning and development.
  • Interface with clients and various park departments on the phone, by email and in person.
  • Assist with reporting, presentations, warehouse inventory and on-site event coordination.
  • Enthusiastically represent the organization by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
  • Participate in weekly catering meeting to review BEOs of upcoming events with Culinary team 

  • Participate in bi-weekly interdepartmental meeting to ensure topline awareness of all incoming paid events, and any in-park activity that may impact the flawless execution of group’s plans 

  • Participate in weekly Marketing task force meeting as contributing member of department 

  • Perform various pre-event tasks including creating BEO, banquet check, ticket orders, FedEx, event diagramming, and post-event tasks including event recaps and final billing 

  • Onsite coordination of events including private park rentals, corporate and school picnics, meetings and dinner parties, from event set-up through breakdown  


What it takes to succeed:

  • Carry out administrative duties to support Events Sales & Services team.
  • Facilitate client and team requests.
  • Organize, prepare and execute sales presentations, trade shows and trainings to assigned market.
  • Answer phone/email and responds to client questions and event inquiries.
  • Prepare written correspondence and mailings.
  • Manage inventory of event collateral and supplies.
  • Manage event ticket processing and mailing.
  • Compile sales reports, sales channel attendance, revenue reports, and account tracking reports.
  • Coordinate on-site picnics and special events.
  • Participate in meetings and assist in the coordination of industry events, park familiarization tours, and key Special Events projects.
  • Assist in the development of all park event communication documents, including, but not limited to, prospectuses, banquet event orders, checklists, signage, and production elements.

What else is important: 

  • Must have an Associate's degree, or equivalent, from a two-year college or technical school or one year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have two years of related experience/education.
  • Must have excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish and create relationships at all levels with clients and prospect organizations.
  • Must have high-level presentation and communication skills with the ability to convey important ideas and concepts to senior leadership, as well as group training and industry missions with high-level executives and clients.
  • Must have the ability to self-start and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to create reports, links, and formulas in Excel.
  • Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and periodicals.
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time in a fast paced working environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Travel industry sales, marketing, and hospitality experience preferred.
  • Experience in Delphi.fdc a plus.


Must be available 5 weekdays of unrestricted availability, averaging 28 hours per week and up to 40 hours per week, to include some weekends and some late evenings.
