This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for an Environmental Scientist for our Lawrenceville, NJ office with 1-3 years’ experience working in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York areas.  The following office locations will also be considered: Marlton, NJ or Morristown, NJ.  Be involved in projects with our transportation, oil & gas, or transmission Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact
  • Assist with Scientific Field Investigations/surveys – wetlands, T&E Species Surveys
  • Data collection/compilation/interpretation
  • Development of regulatory compliance documents
  • Report writing & technical related activities
  • Environmental permitting experience 
  • Willing to travel (extended days / overnights)
Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Education required: BS degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or similar discipline
  • 1-3 years' experience with GIS, GPS
  • Excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills

The candidate will be required to assist with environmental field studies and prepare documentation for permit applications and approvals for submission to state and federal agencies. Ideal candidate will have experience addressing state and federal permit requirements and strong technical background in one or more of the following technical disciplines: terrestrial or aquatic ecology, marine biology, botany, water resource management. The candidate must be willing and able to work in difficult field conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PWS preferred but demonstration of wetland delineation & field sampling equipment/methods
