Description

TerraGraphics Environmental Engineering, Inc. has an opportunity for an  entry to mid-level Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist.  The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual capable of working well on a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.  The position requires the application of scientific principles delivered through proficient technical writing, to aid the Department of Energy (DOE) in achieving CERCLA remedial decisions on the Hanford Site. Qualified applicants to this position will be screened for active positions and placed on a roster for potential future openings based out of our Pasco office with work occurring at the DOE Hanford site. 


 Work on our team may Include:


  • Applying your experience in planning, authoring, and designing CERCLA remedial investigations and remedial actions.  

  • Playing a lead role authoring and facilitating client/agency reviews of cleanup decision documents.

  • Assisting in defining strategic approaches for cleanup, closure and organizing and reporting groundwater and soils data.

  • Cooperatively working with DOE, Ecology and EPA in meetings and workshops.

  • Applying independent initiative in providing and executing solutions for our customers in a remote setting, while functioning as part of a interdisciplinary team. 

  • Using your experience based understanding of geology, hydrogeology, contaminant fate and transport, human health and ecological risk analysis, and technical writing to provide leadership among peers and mentorship of junior employees.

  


Required Qualifications:


  • BS/BA in Geology, hydrology, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering.

  • 1-7 years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in field sampling and sample planning

  • Experience with DQOs and Systematic Planning

  • Experience in CERCLA remedial actions

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong technical writing skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.

 


Desired Qualifications:


  • MS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Sciences, or Engineering

  • Experience with geologic or fate and transport modeling software

  • Hanford Site experience.
