Position Overview 


The Senior Director, Merchandising at Stanley 1913 is responsible for leading the development and execution of a strategic merchandising plan that drives product and assortment planning across global markets. This role focuses on creating and curating product assortments that meet the needs of diverse customer segments while aligning with Stanley’s commercial goals. Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a critical role in building a global assortment strategy that empowers commercial leaders worldwide. This position is not focused on visual merchandising, but on product and assortment strategy. 


 


What You'll Do 



  • Lead the development of a global product merchandising strategy. 



  • Drive assortment planning and segmentation to cater to various global markets. 



  • Build and optimize the global product assortment in collaboration with commercial leaders. 



  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product development, and sales to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies. 



  • Analyze market trends and consumer insights to refine assortment strategies. 



  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the success of assortment planning and product segmentation. 



  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the merchandising team, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills to guide and inspire teams and influence senior partners. 


 


Experience and Education 



  • 10+ years of experience in product merchandising, assortment planning, or a related field. 



  • Proven track record of building and driving successful merchandising strategies in a global context. 



  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decision-making. 



  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales. 



  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
