Hybrid schedule: Our office teams have transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, team members are expected in the office an average of three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding any changes to our hybrid schedule will be communicated.

Work Location: Ideal candidates will reside in the Northern New Jersey or Boston, Massachusetts area.

What you will be doing:

The Director, Experience Planning, Media & Data Strategy will partner with brands to advise strategic experience planning brief inclusive of strategic target, jobs to be done, consumer journey and full-funnel activation strategy supporting Home & Outdoor or Beauty & Wellness business.  The Director will lead Media AOR partnership for set brands ensuring experience plans deliver brand growth expectations and YOY ROAS improvements. This leader will bring robust media and digital experience to HoT ensuring brand experience plans fully leverage brand foundation work (e.g., growth audiences), consumer journeys for full-funnel experience planning and robust data strategies for digital activation.

  • Supervise and own the development of optimized strategies of the brands across all channels including national media, retailer media, and DTC to ensure strategies and plans that clearly reflect category / brand business objectives and drive sales / market share growth

  • Serve as a motivational leader for other regional media leads across the globe and contributor to Global Media Guardrails

  • Collaborate with Media AOR on strategic plan development and plan performance

  • Partner with procurement on agency quarterly business review meetings

  • Co-develop U.S. media principles and educate marketing organization on principles to ensure experience plans leverage standard processes

  • Contribute to preferred media partner vetting and ensure partners are briefed on our growth tenets (e.g., JBP)

  • Influence the right key performance indicators by campaign type and channel, analyze results and give advice for further optimization

  • Identify, manage, share, introduce the best media practices and findings, incl. digital media, across the regions

  • Thought leadership on media landscape evolution, to stay at the forefront of media innovations

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Strong passion and emotional intelligence for consumers

  • Strategic and analytical thinking

  • Bias for action, driving strategic outcomes through influence, collaboration & organizational savviness

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 8 years of professional experience with relevant consumer insight background

  • Experienced multiple types of projects, including positioning, brand architecture, creative / messaging development and evaluation, innovation ideation, development, and evaluation, claims testing, segmentation, omni-channel consumer journey’s, path to purchase, brand health tracking, etc.

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in CPG and durable goods
