Director, eCommerce Platform

Position Overview

Stanley 1913, an iconic brand rooted in innovation and sustainability, is seeking a Director, eCommerce Platform to lead and scale our global online presence. This role will be accountable for the strategic direction, operation, and continuous enhancement of our eCommerce platform, ensuring that it delivers a seamless, engaging, and personalized shopping experience. As a key leader in our digital transformation, you will partner and influence across functions to drive growth, improve customer experiences, and optimize the technical performance of our platform.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Global Strategy, Planning, development and execution of the DTC eCommerce platform strategy, aligning with business goals and scaling for future growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture team, and business partners to optimize the design, implementation, and functionality of the platform, ensuring it meets business needs while enhancing customer experience.
  • Design and direct eCommerce integrations with OMS, payment gateways, ERP, CRM, and other business systems.
  • Drive platform performance, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and speed.
  • Apply data-driven insights to improve conversion rates, user engagement, and overall online sales performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing eCommerce platform team, ensuring continuous learning and development.
  • Maintain effective relationships with external vendors and partners, including technology providers, development teams, and consultants.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation in our eCommerce capabilities.

Experience and Education

  • 10+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital platform management, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale eCommerce platforms and driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Expertise in platform technologies, APIs, content management systems, and system integrations.
  • Broad experience with web development processes, including agile methodologies, and experience managing technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA or similar advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience working with tools like Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, or Magento is a plus.
