Position Overview:

The Digital Merchandising Specialist is responsible for executing and enhancing the online merchandising strategy for all brands within our portfolio. In alignment with the overall marketing and sale strategies, this role maximizes consumer engagement and sales conversion across digital platforms. This includes managing online marketplaces, supporting e-commerce initiatives, and ensuring that the brand’s digital content is consistent and optimized for an engaging consumer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day online merchandising experiences across all external digital platforms, online marketplaces (Amazon Vendor and Seller Central), and retailer websites. Day to day task could include:
    1. New Item Content Setup
    2. Monthly catalog review of level A products 
    3. Quarterly catalog review of B and C level products
    4. IDQ or Content Issue resolution
    5. 1-2 Star review reporting
    6. Infringement search and review
  • Collaborate with Marketing Management, Creative, Sales and e-Commerce teams to identify new content needs and opportunities that align with overall business objectives.
  • Execute A+ content creation and similar enhancements through online sales channels.
  • Navigate and manage Seller and Vendor Central platforms to optimize product catalogs, manage IDQ scores, and content changes.
  • Create and partner with the Creative team to ensure all content, and digital assets on Seller and Vendor central are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Help manage and maintain digital content on our Digital Asset Management platform, ensuring content is up to date and available to distribute.
  • Manage product catalogs on online retailer systems to ensure consistent representation across all platforms.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of online merchandising initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement to the Creative Director.
  • Stay updated on digital merchandising trends and identify new opportunities for improvement.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in online marketing or merchandising.
  • Familiarity with Vendor and Seller Central and other external e-commerce platforms.
  • Passion for the outdoor industry is preferred.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to optimize product ranking through SEO optimization, content refinement and IDQ performance. 
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and content management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

 Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards. Some exposure to outdoors, rough terrain, firearms, and lead.

Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. The work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:

  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection are required when on the manufacturing floor.

The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
