Collette is seeking a Corporate Citizenship Intern – Responsible Travel & Responsible Business. This is a hybrid role based at our headquarters in Pawtucket, RI for 32-40 hours per week.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Citizenship Intern will work on a variety of projects and tasks to aid the Corporate Citizenship department in helping fulfill the company purpose: to craft experiences that spark understanding, change and happiness through the power of travel. 

Key focus areas of this position will be sustainable business practices and assessment, responsible travel initiatives, and corporate citizenship communications/marketing. However, we are a small department so the intern will be an integral part of the team this summer and gain exposure to other aspects of CSR/ESG including volunteering, grantmaking, and other areas of community impact in support of the UN SDGs.

Primary Functions:

  • Help team perform the tour audit of existing product and vendors to bring in line with our expanded responsible travel requirements aligned with selected UN SDG goals
  • Assist the responsible travel team by researching aligned vendors/enterprises in destinations when needed and conducting research on existing vendors to determine if they meet our guidelines.
  • Assist the responsible travel team and corporate responsibility team on carbon measurement and impact assessment projects.
  • Work with tour vendors and other nonprofit and social enterprise partners to obtain images, video and other content to use in promoting the responsible travel initiatives
  • Study an extensive list of companies (competitors included) to determine best practices for messaging and Corporate citizenship positioning and help to guide Collette’s Responsible travel Marketing and communications plans
  • Write and design editorial content regarding Responsible Travel/CSR/ESG  based on the above best practices for Instagram and our intranet and websites.
  • General assistance with our volunteer programming summer events, such as Founder’s Week, and other volunteer activities
  • General assistance with local and global partner grant making as needed.
  • Assist in research, competitive analysis and content creation for Collette’s CSR web and intranet presence as needed.

 Hourly Rate: $17.00/hr
