Job Description

The Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue and occupancy through the development and execution of strategic sales plans for the Transient market segment (Corporate {ESP}, Leisure, Consortia, Government) for Omni Austin Hotel Downtown and Corporate market for Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa. This role requires a strong focus on achieving monthly room night goals, building, and maintaining client relationships, soliciting new accounts, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of the business travel industry, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and sell diverse property offerings to meet the needs of both Hotels for whom they represent. This candidate will also develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve or exceed room night and revenue goals for the Transient market segments for Omni Austin Hotel Downtown and Corporate market for Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate new business opportunities within target accounts, while maintaining and expanding existing relationships.
  • Conduct regular sales calls, presentations, and site inspections to generate demand and secure bookings.
  • Collaborate with hotel operations to ensure seamless guest experiences and exceed customer expectations.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with Omni Hotels & Resorts Global Business Travel Team.
  • Responsible for completing and implementing local and global RFPs jointly with the Complex Business Travel team.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team, as applicable.
  • There is a 85%/15% split between Omni Austin Hotel Downtown and Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years experience in hotel sales, front desk, reservations, or similar sales role.
  • Must be a self-starting, driven team player that contributes to positive results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • Excellent ability to conduct group presentations, written and oral.
  • Strong business planning, account planning, and budget management skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenue.
  • Strong financial / statistical analysis and business case development skills.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process.
  • Experience with account management.
