Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab), a nature-focused global adventure travel company based in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Operations Coordinator to join our Finance team. This full-time, exempt position supports the Director of Business Operations and the Human Resources and DE&I Manager with responsibilities essential to our organization’s success. The role involves managing data with precision, overseeing travel insurance processes, and providing operational and human resources assistance to enhance organizational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Support

  • Assist with the administration of the travel insurance program, including responding to guest inquiries, supporting claim processes, and analyzing related data to identify trends and solutions.
  • Collaborate on vendor management tasks, including maintaining vendor agreements and ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Help organize and maintain business contracts, ensuring timely renewals and easy access for stakeholders.
  • Support federal and state business license renewals and related compliance tasks.
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Human Resources Support

  • Manage data within HRIS, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communication, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support onboarding processes, including preparing Day 1 schedules and managing related documentation.
  • Collaborate on performance management initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to generate actionable insights and reports for leadership.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets to track key metrics and operational data.
  • Prepare presentations, charts, and visuals to communicate findings effectively.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in databases and spreadsheets (e.g., FileMaker, Access, Excel).
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Two years of experience in a business setting preferred, with a track record of delivering results.
  • Experience or familiarity with human resources processes and HRIS (BambooHR and Rippling) preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with Asana project management software preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated passion for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Business field degree, preferred.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000 USD, plus annual bonus. Compensation commensurate with experience. (Per Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, employers must include compensation ranges in job postings). This is a full-time, exempt position.

LOCATION

This position is based in our Louisville, Colorado home office and requires in-office work for full-time employees. Hybrid work arrangements are available for local employees (within a one-hour drive of our Louisville, Colorado office), requiring attendance in the office at least two days per week.

 

Fully remote work may be approved for employees residing in the following states: Alaska, Florida, Oregon, Washington, New York, Utah, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, and Texas. Remote employees are required to travel to Louisville, Colorado at least two weeks per year for in-person meetings, company events, and job-specific tasks.

WORKING HOURS

Nat Hab’s office hours are currently Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM MT. We also operate on Saturdays from 8 AM to 3 PM for select members of our guest-facing teams. Additional hours may be required to meet your goals as needed.
