About the role

The Marketing Manager plans, develops and implements unique and efficient marketing strategies & initiatives for the assigned categories and brands to achieve the brand/category financial targets. He/she is responsible for the category P&L, annual and 3Y plan business planning. He/she develops assigned NPDs in line with agreed 3YP roadmap and defines product positioning, go to market approach and launch plans. If applicable: He/She leads a team of brand/product managers covering many equities.

What you’ll do in the role

Marketing Strategy & Profitability

  • Develop, communicate and implement the annual Marketing Plan for the category and brand portfolio
  • Manage and market the category, nurturing the brands and ensuring brand consistency across the category in all communication
  • Support Product Director in development of 3 Years Strategic Plan
  • Supervise the pricing strategy for the category
  • Plan to drive the seasonal launches
  • Create & Manage Regional Marketing Plans
  • Lead & deliver two seasonal marketing workshops (per brand) to launch necessary conversations for seasonal executions
  • Owner of the Marketing CMB w GTM Manager
  • Manage & Influence the Sales requests & relationships
  • Influence the Global Brand Marketing Teams to deliver calendars & marketing campaigns to drive EMEA relevant strategy
  • Manage adaptations of global marketing campaigns to deliver EMEA relevant stories
  • Lead & Manage (External) PR Teams & In-country partners to deliver season launches
  • Drive, Collaborate & Manage Centres of Excellence to deliver seasonal activations, assets & Monthly Reporting where relevant
  • Drive & Manage Key Sports & Outdoor Retailer Relationships
  • Own & Manage Brand Advocates Program
  • Establish & negotiate relevant Consumer Events
  • Lead CSR Programs (ie Parks for All, Osprey AMG)
  • Develop, implement & manage the new GTM process
  • Lead, manage & deliver the GTM process on short, mid & long term planning pipelines to ensure seamless execution
  • Ensure coordinated alignment between all Departments (Marketing, Sales, Product) to deliver Season
  • Collaborate & Influence the Global GTM Team to ensure EMEA input is taken at the correct moment to ensure seamless delivery
  • Manage & Execute annual Brand Tracker research

Product Development

  • Liaise with EMEA Product Director, Global Marketing, Global Programm Management, Supply Chain, Legal and Finance teams to support and develop NPD programs and packaging projects
  • Plan high impact product launches
  • Leads phase outs of existing products and participate actively in sku rationalization

Marketing Intelligence & Consumer Insights

  • Supervise Market & competitive Intelligence for the category to feed into Director

Leadership and Management

  • Oversee the budget for the category / brand, ensure monthly reconciliation and quarterly match up with Finance and rest of mktg team
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Ensure adherence to rules and regulations on all matters pertaining to quality, safety & compliance

What will help you do the job well

Essential:

  • University degree (Economics, Business, Marketing or equivalent). MBA as asset
  • 7+ year experience in marketing/business management within an international environment
  • Strong Marketing expertise
  • Solid commercial and business acumen
  • Project Management Skills
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), French a plus.
