Pay: $15 - 15.25 per hour based on experience
Start Date: Mid-May with positions available through the summer season
Seasonal: This position is available from Late May to the Beginning of October, aligning with our winter ski and summer bike seasons. Seasonal work involves temporary employment tied to specific times of the year

Featuring one of the largest trail systems in the East, a certified IMBA Ride Center, and host to noteworthy events like Downhill Southeast, WV Enduro Series, and the 2024 UCI Cross Country Marathon World Championships, Snowshoe Bike Park is recognized as one of the best in the U.S. With legendary berms, jumps drops and flow for every appetite. This position is responsible for the building, repair, and maintenance of Bike Park trails utilizing heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, skid steers, dozers, etc. in accordance with the goals and objectives set forth by the trail crew foreman.
Builds and maintains trails to professional standards, ensuring stability, sustainability, and appropriate trail ratings. Constructs "go-arounds" on blue, black, and double black diamond trails to provide low-risk alternatives. Manages water drainage to minimize erosion and enhance trail sustainability.
Ensures proper finish on trail work by clearing debris, seeding disturbed areas, and maintaining berms and features. Performs manual labor and operates heavy equipment like excavators, skid steers, ATVs, and chainsaws. Ensures safety during equipment operation and conducts regular equipment inspections.
Monitors the bike park for hazards, including downed trees, erosion, and damaged signage. Coordinates with the bike park and patrol teams on trail closures, repairs, and maintenance. Ensures proper signage on new trails and features before opening and confirms approval from the bike park and patrol managers.
Provides safety discussions for the team and maintains a presence at races and events, offering support as needed. Assists with other bike park operations and events as required.
