Principle Purpose of Job

Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa is currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, possess excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by providing high-quality coffee beverages and exceptional service.


*Please note that this role may involve placements in Heck's Tavern, Ranch House Restaurant, Volario's, Café Giocondo, or on our Banquets team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing quality beverages, whole bean and food products consistently for all customers in line with our recipe and presentation standards
  • Supporting with store procedures including, opening or closing the store, cash handling, and safety and security
  • Supporting your fellow partners during periods of high volume to keep the store operating
  • Anticipating and delivering on your customer and store needs by getting to know your store environment and customers
  • Supporting in creating a welcoming environment during each shift
  • Delivering customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and creating genuine connections.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace for your customers and partners

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliability and dependability in previous work experiences.
  • Passion for coffee and knowledge of different coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is a plus.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift/carry moderate weights (20-30 lbs).
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.


Compensation Description:

$12.32/hr + Tips Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
