Position Overview

The Analyst, Sustainability and Social Impact plays a key role in Stanley’s brand commitment to build a more sustainable, less disposable life and world. In this role, you will work collaboratively with the corporate responsibility team to design, execute, and analyze strategies and projects related to sustainability, ethical sourcing, philanthropy, volunteering, and more.


What You’ll Do

Sustainability (60%)

  • Execute sustainability data collection and analysis with a focus on brand-level or product-level communications and claims.
  • Manage lifecycle assessment approach including modeling products and outcomes, managing Stanley’s use of life cycle assessment tools, and tracking goal progress.
  • Manage Stanley’s greenhouse gas emissions inventory, and increase the quality of water, waste, and related data from Stanley’s suppliers and other third-party providers.
  • Provide research support on sustainable materials and emerging topics.
  • Provide programmatic support on priority sustainability initiatives intended to provide brand leadership and reduce the brand’s impact.


Social Impact (25%)

  • Manage and administer Stanley Creators Fund, including sourcing potential nominees, managing applications, communicating with applicants as necessary, and managing annual evaluation process.
  • Manage employee impact programs including matching donations, volunteer service, and in-office sustainability activations.
  • Support brand partnerships with charitable components, such as buy/give programs, licensed products, and donations.


Social Compliance (15%)

  • Support global Sourcing teams and CSR leaders in evaluating suppliers, including management of documentation, audit review and scheduling, and country risk assessments.
  • On-board new suppliers for monthly and annual reporting requirements.


About You

  • Familiar with corporate responsibility principles and guidelines related to environmental sustainability, labor standards, social impact, ESG reporting, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Analytical and strategic, able to organize complex information into succinct business communications and impactful dashboards and reporting.
  • Able to work and connect with diverse teams around the world.
  • Highly skilled in managing details and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communicator.
  • Flexible and willing to adapt.
  • An abundance of empathy, curiosity, and optimism.

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, business, public policy, economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects and programs, ideally in a corporate environment.
  • Environmental sustainability training or experience a plus.
  • Global, cross-cultural awareness through travel, language studies, or other experiences a plus.

 

Salary Range

$65,000 - $80,000 annually.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. Stanley is a total rewards company, which includes rewards beyond base salary. At Stanley, full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual results.
