L.L.Bean is seeking an Allocator to join our Inventory Management team in Freeport, Maine. In this important role you will work to establish and maintain appropriate SKU/Store inventory levels using Blue Yonder Fulfillment, established tools, processes, standardized reporting, and strategic input from cross functional partners in support of sales forecasts. This role requires 3 days per week onsite.

Other tasks include successfully managing product lifecycle and achieving designated exit dates, interpreting store feedback regarding selling patterns/demographics and providing analytical insights to support the implementation of strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages part of the business employing approved processes, controls and reporting; assigned product categories with medium to high complexity.
  • Demonstrates understanding and appropriate use of Blue Yonder Fulfillment and Dynamic Allocations; helps drive revision of methodologies pertaining to the optimal use of systems.
  • Demonstrates business acumen and cross-functional knowledge in understanding strategic planning across channels. Maintains awareness of Allocations approaches for all categories, as well as the Forecasting/Buying functions as they relate to the end-to-end, omni-channel process.
  • Drives and maintains accuracy in Replenishment, New to Floor, and New Store Fit-Up orders. Provides insight into the identification of patterns and relationships in data to break through high level of detail. Maintains an objective view of findings, guides others in formulating conclusions from analysis.
  • Drives a proactive approach to identifying & managing business trends versus reacting to issues. Supports department leadership and collaborates with cross-functional team members to ensure channel deliverables are met.
  • Helps monitor, prioritize, and implement the day-to-day execution of assigned tasks, responsibilities and coordination of team workload; may mentor others.
  • Engages in ongoing relationship development and management across a broad range of omni-channel business partners and peer leaders.
  • Supports company-wide strategic efforts and quickly adapts to workflow and business impacts

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Forecasting, Buying or Allocations related experience/knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong Excel and systems aptitude- Blue Yonder Fulfillment
  • Ability to work in a systematic and organized approach
