About the Role
We are seeking two dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Data Cleanse Specialists to join our team for an 8-month project on a fixed term basis. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounts payable data as we prepare for our migration to Workday on 1 August 2025. You will work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and other Stakeholders to resolve and clear historical data from our Accounts Payable and liability Balance Sheet accounts.
This role is a hybrid role based out of Cape Town, where a set number of days is required in office as set by the region.
What You’ll be Doing
Conduct thorough data analysis and cleansing of Accounts Payable records.
Aged Accounts Payable Sub Ledger open items
Aged Open Purchase Orders (POs)
Aged Unvouchered Liabilities (UVLs)
Aged Deposits and Prepayments
Identify and resolve discrepancies in historical data.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable Manager and other team members to ensure data accuracy.
Document and maintain detailed records of data cleansing activities.
Assist in the preparation and migration of data to Workday.
Communicate effectively with Stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information.
Desired Skills & Experience
Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Finance (or Similar/ related field).
1+ Year of Accounts Payable/ Accounting experience.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good understanding and use of financial and operating systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheets
Experience with data cleansing projects is a plus
Intermediate English skills (written and oral).
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strict deadlines.
Self-motivated and goal oriented.
Confident, Customer service oriented with a flexible and cooperative approach.
Problem solving skills.
