Collette is seeking an Accounting Intern. This is a hybrid role based at our headquarters in Pawtucket, RI for 32 hours per week.

Job Summary:
The Accounting Intern role is a summer internship that will assist our Accounting team with various responsibilities, detailed below.

Primary Functions:

  • Assist group accounting, accounts receivable, and quality control.
  • Accounting & tax based projects as needed.
  • Scanning of customer paperwork.
  • Move group payments between reservations per accounting action code notes.
  • Audit retail and group bookings for missing deposits & invoice accordingly.
  • Assist with reviewing reservation action code notations.
  • Assist with auditing and sending individual invoices for group bookings.
  • Re-invoice group bookings as needed.
  • Audit group reservations for short payments and reconcile the commission due.
  • Write up check request for group commissions that require special instructions.
  • Assist with refunding cancelled retail reservations.
  • Refund cancelled options.
  • Assist with reviewing the retail final payment due/collection report.
  • Audit the retail refund due report and request payment of commission balances due.
  • Assist with auditing Marriott Vacations Club bookings for monthly billing.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Accounting or related field course of study.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and strong mathematical skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve.

Hourly Rate: $17.00/hr
