Location: Chicago, IL
Salary Range: $101,000 - $110,000
- Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)
Position Summary:
As an IT Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our IT initiatives by leading requirements gathering, planning, execution, and delivery of complex products and projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and requirements, as well as ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs. Leveraging your expertise in delivery methodologies and best practices, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception to completion, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize new features/work by collaborating with business units and IT teams to understand customer needs and define solution options
- Solicit feedback to ensure continued alignment and ensure features/work delivered meet customer and technical requirements
- Support new business engagements and proposals to ensure the product/project approach is integrated and achievable in proposed solutions
- Document requirements and execute upon initiatives to ensure these meet the needs of business partners and larger corporate initiatives
- Create and maintain project plans/task lists, including milestones, tasks, dependencies, and deliverables, using processes/tools appropriate for the complexity level of the project
- Experience in leading SCRUM/Agile activities, including facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring efficient collaboration and alignment among cross-functional teams
- Understand business and system processes. Analyze different business metrics, conduct gap analysis, and process optimization
- Maintain Issues and Risks logs, proactively monitoring and coordinating to resolve issues and risks promptly
- Meet with business team members to discuss and assist with project requests, and work with developers to determine the technical feasibility and scope of projects
- Maintain project documentation through the project’s lifecycle
- Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to drive and facilitate requirement and design sessions and clarifications throughout the project lifecycle\
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills accompanied by the flexibility to quickly adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Perform other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above
Education/License Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
General Experience Requirements:
- 2-5 years' experience as a business analyst or product owner
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and project management principles (PMP, PMI-ACP, etc.)
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects and delivering high-quality products on time and within budget
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft Project
- Managed both small and larger cross-departmental projects
- Clear and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Experiencing with data measuring, analytics, and reporting
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in ERP, Forecasting, Warehouse Management, and customer service in a pick-and-pack shipping environment
- Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) are a plus
